Clean Crackers

May 18, 2015 by Molly Badger

This post is more helpful tip/opinion than any kind of culinary tale, but I know from experience that healthy moms are always on the lookout for great, clean products.  I also know that for some reason kids can’t live without crackers and what in the world do you do about the Great Goldfish Mutiny if you choose to eat clean?!

Since taking a step away from traditional, processed kid snack food, we’ve discovered a huge variety of outside-the-box kid snacks, and when crackers are required, these are a few of our go-to’s.   My kids love both of these, and, to be honest sometimes fight over the last one in the box.  For the record, I have no affiliation- paid or otherwise- with either of these companies, just love the products and wanted to spread the word.

It's a rare thing to find a cracker ingredient list that is short, recognizable and pronouncable, not to mention tastes great.  These fit the criteria; even Badge is a huge fan, and really, isn’t a husband the real test of great kid food?

We spread them with nut butter and fresh berries, make homemade ‘lunchables’, or scoop up our newest favorite: fresh salsa stirred into a bit of pine nut hummus.  Black beans and diced avocado are great choices if you feel like complicating things.
